The BC Lions Football Club and the Toronto Argonauts have made swap of selections just a few hours before today’s  CFL Canadian Draft. The Lions have sent their 3rd, 18th, 26th, and 30th overall selections to the Boatmen in exchange for Toronto’s 4th, 20th, 24th, and 25th overall selections.

“We did some maneuvering in the first round which enables us to stay on track with the selections we have mapped out over the past few weeks as well as significantly improve our position in later rounds,” said Lions GM and head coach, Wally Buono.

The Lions hold nine picks in today’s proceedings including the 10th, 16th, 34th, 41st and 42nd overall selections in addition to those exchanged with Toronto.
