The BC Lions Football Club announced this morning that import linebackers Beau Bell, Rodney Paulk, and Glenn Love have been signed by the team.

Bell, the most experienced of the three new Leos, was selected by Cleveland in the 2008 NFL Draft (4th round, 104th overall) and played the 2008 season with the Browns before being waived in September 2009.  Beau spent two seasons in the UFL with Las Vegas (2010) and Omaha (2011) before signing with the Spokane Shock for the 2012 AFL season.

Paulk spent six years at the University of South Carolina due to injuries in 2008 and 2009 which extended his eligibility. He bounced back with strong seasons in 2010 and 2011, playing in 26 games through his final two seasons and 43 for his career. He racked up a total of 159 tackles and added four sacks.

Love played in 48 games from 2008 through 2011 for UCLA, switching from safety to linebacker for his final two seasons with the Bruins. Playing on both defense and special teams, he totaled 55 tackles and two sacks. Love was signed following an impressive performance at the Lions’ free agent camp in Seattle last week.
