The last thing you think a head coach wants to do is expose himself to a chilly May morning on a motorcycle heading into the office. For Mike Benevides, nothing feels better and thanks to training camp sponsor Kamloops Harley-Davidson, the second-year BC Lions head coach managed a couple of hours of hog bliss last weekend in advance of Fanfest.

“That was exactly what the doctor ordered,” said Benevides after two weeks of practices and meetings in Kamloops. “I was missing my bike back in Surrey and to have an opportunity to take one of these beautiful Harley-Davidsons out for a spin was a complete recharge for my system.”

Hitting the road with fellow bike enthusiast Paul McCallum, the two took advantage of the unique terrain and sights in and around Kamloops for a morning ride that won’t soon be forgotten.

“My thanks to Kevin Chow and his staff at Kamloops Harley Davidson, Paul and I had an incredible time and we can’t wait to be back again in 2014.”
