BC Lions Football Club GM and head coach Wally Buono announced today that international running backs Mikel Leshoure and Sam Ojuri have signed with the team.
Leshoure was a second round NFL Draft selection of the Detroit Lions in 2011 following three productive years at the University of Illinois. An effective runner and pass-catcher, the Illinois native posted 807 rushing yards and nine touchdowns along with another 214 yards on 34 receptions for Detroit over two seasons and 17 appearances. | |
Ojuri, who also hails from Illinois was acquired through the CFL’s Negotiation List Draft in December and will try to crack the Lions’ roster following a notable college career at North Dakota State where he piled-up more than 3,500 rushing yards and 33 majors over 44 games. |
