Elimimian’s Team Record Earns CFL Honour

Veteran BC Lions linebacker Solomon Elimimian is no stranger to the record books, so while his 14-tackle performance last Wednesday in Toronto set a new single game mark for the club and earned him a CFL Player of the Week nod this morning, it’s business as usual heading into Friday’s game against Montreal. Preseason Lions vs Calgary

Im grateful for the recognition, but for one player to have night like that it’s really everyone on the field doing their job,” said the CFLs 2014 Outstanding Player and Outstanding Defensive Player.

Elimimian was a human highlight reel versus the Argos racking up the aforementioned 14 defensive stops along with a quarterback sack and an interception in the Lions’ 16-13 win.

The last-second victory capped a very successful two-win trip for the Leos and secured a rare road sweep of the East Division. The Lions are currently in second spot in the West Division with a 7-3 record and face the Montreal Alouettes on Friday night presented by TELUS.
