Chris Rainey’s phone hasn’t stopped blowing up for over 24 hours. 9Gag and the Chive were among the websites that posted the video. At last check, it had 2.7 million views on his Facebook page and the Twitter numbers were similar: over 2.7 million replies, 249,000 retweets and 413,000 “likes.”
We’re not talking about one of the rain main’s electrifying touchdown returns. His son Makari is the star in this case!

Makari is somewhat of a legend on dad’s social media feeds. This latest stunt filmed by Lions’ running back/receiver Tyler Davis takes the cake. Rainey took time after Thursday’s practice to talk about the craze and where some of the attention has come from.
“Lots of TV shows and networks, it’ crazy man. NBC was probably the biggest,” said Rainey when asked who has contacted him for comments.
“I just want to make it to the Ellen show!”
The saying “like father, like son” definitely applies here. We suggested Chris get Makari an agent because perhaps a career in Hollywood may soon be in his future.
“I was trying to think what the set number is for a video to go viral,” added Rainey. “Tyler said it would go viral. It’s crazy because I don’t even know that many people. The other day I am talking to different people, trying to sign contracts and all of that. I am shocked!”
