Hard to imagine an adjective that hasn't been used to describe Geroy Simon over the past nine seasons as a Lion and 11 overall. The Johnstown, Pennsylvania native and Maryland grad certainly has left his mark on the CFL and will undoubtedly see his number go up on the Lions' Ring of Honour when his career wraps up. For now, the slick slotback is as effective as ever evidenced by his 2009 totals which placed him fourth overall among CFL pass grabbers (79/1,239), just four yards out of second spot.
After a slow start out of the gate for both the offence and the team as a whole, Simon's late season surge included no fewer than four 100-yard games in his final six outings and 591 receiving yards in total. It comes as no surprise to Lions fans that one of his best performances on the year just happened to coincide with quarterback Casey Printers' first start after returning to the club in September.
The club's all-time leader in receiving yards as well as combined yards (11,501) and receptions (688), Simon took a few moments out his busy day of working out and shuttling kids to swimming lessons to take part in bclions.com's According To... project. Geroy given either a single word or a few words to ponder (the bolded ones) - the rest is all him.
Maryland is a place I love and had some of the best years of my life. It's been almost 15 years since I left and I still talk about my experiences there.

Autographs I do tons. I never mind signing for kids, charities or any good cause but the guys who come with 15 pictures outside the locker room annoy me.
I have always wanted to skydive but I would never get on a plane knowing that I would have to jump out by choice.
Looking back I have learned a lot from the plenty of mistakes made in the past they have made me a better person. As a young man I was very stubborn and defiant.
My mom is my rock - she raised three out-of-control boys. We all turned out to be decent human beings.

Pennsylvania produces great football players. Some of the best football in the world is played there. ‘Pa' doesn't get enough credit.
