BC Lions’ Be More Than a Bystander documentary now available to BC viewers
The BC Lions Football Club is pleased to announce that its documentary feature on the groundbreaking Be More Than a Bystander initiative is now available to both TELUS and Shaw digital cable subscribers through their respective on-demand services.
The short but powerful documentary looks at the issue of violence against women through the lens of the Be More Than a Bystander program – an initiative which launched in 2011 in partnership with The Ending Violence Association of BC (EVA BC).
Viewers see current and former BC Lions players sharing their personal stories about how they engage with the issue of violence against women, both through intimate personal reflections as well as in their interactions with students in school presentations and events throughout the province. The documentary also includes the analysis of anti-violence experts and community advocates who offer a broad framework for understanding why violence against women is a men’s issue.
TELUS subscribers: go to TV On Demand, then to Optik Local, Featured.
SHAW subscribers: go to Shaw VOD, select Subscriptions, Shaw, Shows.
