Four days removed from the Lions’ convincing 36-1 defeat of the Edmonton Eskimos, receiver Arland Bruce and defensive tackle Aaron Hunt were named the Gibson’s Finest CFL Offensive Player of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week respectively this morning by the Canadian Football League.

Now in his sixth season with the Leos, Hunt recorded three sacks on Friday night to double his season total and also contributed five defensive tackles to lead a Lions defence which held the Eskimos to just a single point on the night.

No stranger to Player of the Week honours, ten-year CFL veteran receiver Arland Bruce made an impact in just his second game as a Lion with nine receptions for 129 yards and two TDs – his first for the Black and Orange.
