Cameron Wake signed with the BC Lions as a Free Agent in May of 2007 and quickly turned heads at Lions Training Camp in 2007. He became the starting Defensive End for the Leos out of camp with the job of replacing the departed Chris Wilson. Wake never looked out of place coming hard out of the gates with three sacks in his CFL debut against Toronto in June.
Wake finished the season with a league-leading 16 sacks and team-leading 69 tackles, three forced fumbles and one blocked field goal en route to two CFL awards - Most Outstanding Defensive Player and Most Outstanding Rookie.
