JAMALL JOHNSON HEADS SOUTH TO BUCCANEERS

January 07, 2009

The Province's Lowell Ullrich reports that free agent import linebacker Jamall Johnson has signed a contract with the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The four-year veteran was vacationing in the Dominican Republic and could not be reached Tuesday, but a post by a Tampa magazine that covers the Bucs extensively, Pewter Report, said Johnson has signed a two-year contract. Johnson was listed as a safety, his position in college at Northwestern State.
