(Vancouver) Lions defensive lineman Cameron Wake certainly made his CFL debut one to remember with a seven-tackle, three-sack performance in the Lions 24-22 victory over the Toronto Argonauts last Thursday. The Penn State-grad who joined the Lions as a free agent this past May was a terror throughout the night and earned Rogers CFL Defensive Player of the Week kudos as a result.
The CFL also announced that Lions defensive lineman Brent Johnson received an honourable mention as Canadian of the Week after his two-sack performance and safety Barron Miles was runner-up for Special Teams Player of the Week after notching the 10th blocked kick of his career.
