Lions Share

The 2009 season marked the fourth year of the Lions Share program. The club invites one local charity to each Lions regular season home game and gives them an opportunity to showcase and fundraise for their respective causes.

In 2009, the BC Lions welcomed the BC Lions Society for Children with Disabilities, Ronald McDonald House, Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver, Zajac Ranch for Children, Variety - The Children's Charity, KidSport, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Vancouver, YMCA of Greater Vancouver, and the United Way of the Lower Mainland. Through the generosity of the BC Lions fans and sponsors, thousands of dollars was raised for our Lions Share partners in 2009.

The BC Lions thank Terasen Gas for hosting the Street Party barbecue and donating all profits to the Lions Share charities, Game Day Auction for donating net proceeds from the silent auction, A-Star Face Painting for their contributions, and all the volunteers who donated their time to help each charity make the most of their night.

The BC Lions look forward to teaming up with local charities once again in 2010 and with the passionate support of Lions fans, we will make great memories on and off the field.
