Q: Is it true that the BC Lions will be playing outdoors this season?
A: Yes! Due to the construction of a retractable roof at BC Place, the Lions have returned to play at an outdoor stadium for the first time in 28 years.
Q: Where will this stadium be located?
A: The location is at the old Empire Stadium site on the PNE Fairgrounds at Hastings Street near Highway #1, Vancouver, BC - click here to locate it on a map.
Q: Does the stadium have covered seating?
A: Yes, seats along sidelines and between the edges of the field turf (just past the goal lines) and from Row M and higher will be under cover.
Q: Will seats be bleacher style or individual seats?
A: Premium, Gold and Silver areas will be individual seats with Bronze endzone bleacher style seats. Click here for a stadium seating chart.
Q: What time will gates open on game days?
A: Gates will open two hours prior to game time. Ticket selling windows at the North and South Gates will be open three hours prior to kickoff.
Q: Will there be ATM’s within stadium grounds?
A: Yes, there will be ATM’s for your convenience – please ask a staff member to direct you to the nearest one.

Q: Will there be a pre-game party, like the BC Lions Street Party that was on Beatty and Robson Street?
A: Yes, the BC Lions Street Party presented by Nissan will commence two hours prior to kick off inside stadium grounds – enter through the North or South Gate and enjoy pre-game entertainment including music, face painting for the kids and much more.

Q: Will there be BC Lions merchandise sales on stadium grounds?
A: We want you to wear orange to Lions home games, so YES there will be BC Lions merchandise available for sale at the north end of the stadium grounds.
Q: Will there be concessions on stadium grounds?
A: Yes, you will find concessions located throughout the grounds. They will sell stadium fare including hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries and beer. These concessions will accept debit, credit cards and cash. There will also be roving sellers for hot dogs, beer and a few snack items - however, they will accept cash only. ![]()
Q: What is the best way for me to get to the game?
A: There are many options available to you – click here for maps, information about parking, bicycle valet, a rideshare program called Pick-Up Pal, recommended transit routes and much more.![]()
Q: What can I do to help ensure easy entry through the gates?
A: This is a stadium with policies much like BC Place. You will be checked for outside alcohol and prohibited items at the gate – the less you bring to the game, the better, so please try to avoid bringing bags and large items whenever possible.
Q: Will I be able to smoke cigarettes at a BC Lions game this season?
A: As a courtesy to others, you will not be able to smoke in the stadium and on regular stadium grounds. Please ask a staff member to direct you to the designated area.
