The newly renovated BC Place includes many outstanding amenities, including:

No more line-ups at the door!

Every aspect of the game day experience has now changed for Lions fans from the moment they come in the doors which is also a big change in itself. The world’s largest stadium roof is no longer air-supported which means revolving doors are a thing of the past and entering and exiting the stadium just got a lot easier.

New, wider seats
Renovated concourses, concessions and washrooms lead to brand new stadium seats which are larger and more comfortable measuring in at 22 inches which in some cases, is as much as five inches wider than the old blue seats.

Replays in HD!
From the comfort of those new, wider seats fans won’t miss a single tackle, kick or touchdown and if they do, they can catch the replay in brilliant HD quality on North America’s second largest centre-hung scoreboard. Each of the sideline screens measures 68 by 38 feet which is equal to the area covered by 450, 42” flat screen TVs. The stadium will also feature 1,140 flat screen TV’s along concourses ensuring fans don’t miss a second of Lions football.

Comfortable surroundings
If fans find the in-stadium temperature as comfortable as their patio on a summer night they can look no further than the louvers at the lower edge of the new roof which open and close to increase air circulation along with the new retractable roof, of course.

Food choices like never before
Anyone looking to grab a snack during Friday’s game will find some amazing new offerings at new exclusive foodcarts such as ‘Main Street Shawarma’, ‘Steveston’s FC, ‘Chilliweck’s Beef on Weck and grilled bratwurst from Vancouver’s own D-Original Sausage Co. Of course, there are still burgers and hotdogs – with some new twists like hand-formed beef and topped with Applewood-smoked bacon and all-beef hotdogs ready for topping with home-made chili. Centerplate has also partnered with local chefs, such as Vikram Vij to offer a selection of curries that helped make the restaurant famous.

New sound and lighting
During the game, fans will be treated to a light and sound production unlike anything they have experienced at a Lions game thanks to the stadium’s 36-foot transparent façade’s Northern Lights Display as well as a 48” graphics board which runs between the upper and lower decks. The new state-of-the-art sound system features new loudspeaker arrays mounted from above on the video board hung at centrefield, and under the balconies.
