BC Lions GreenZone Sustainability Blitz

The GreenZone Sustainability Blitz is an exciting new program designed to raise awareness, knowledge and enthusiasm towards environmental sustainability. Under the banner of the GreenZone, the stadium, team and players have challenged themselves to practice sustainability in their day-to-day lives.

Any sustainable initiative has to involve the community and has to be grassroots. To that end, your favourite BC Lions players will be visiting elementary schools throughout British Columbia and talking to the students about the importance of waste, energy and water. Features of the school visit include:

* A pep-rally for the whole school with exciting games designed to help students find ways to Rethink, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

* An interactive classroom workshop that focuses on water conservation and protecting our water sources.

* A legacy initiative known as the GreenZone Challenge, which empowers students to investigate and participate in making changes in their lives through a series of activities both in the school and at home.
