Gavin enters his tenth season with the Lions following a stint with the former Ottawa Renegades as their assistant trainer/assistant equipment manager in 2002. He also worked in the Renegades' audio-visual department.

Gavin is a graduate of Laurentian University (Physical Education) and Sheridan College (Sports Injury Management).

Hailing from Norwood, Ontario, Gavin rarely spends an off-season in the Vancouver-area. An avid traveler, Gavin has spent extended periods in exotic locations such as Africa, Europe, Australia and southeast Asia.

Gavin is also a gifted photographer and had a selection of photos published in The Province as part of the Vancouver newspaper’s Grey Cup coverage in 2006.
