The BC Lions Football Club is looking for hardworking, energetic team players to assist in a variety of roles on game days.

Overview of volunteer positions available:

Giveaways


Giveaway volunteers assist as necessary with large scale in-stadium giveaways.  They are responsible for setting up and handing out promotional items for giveaways in the stands or at the gates.

Giveaway volunteers are provided with tickets to watch the game while they are not working.  For example, if there is a pre-game giveaway at the gates, once the items are all handed out the volunteers would be able to go to their seats and enjoy the rest of the game.

Fan Services

Fan services volunteers are the face of the BC Lions Football Club, dealing directly with the fans.
 
The duties of fan services volunteers may include:

•    Managing lineups at Will Call and outside gates
•    Managing prize redemption at Guest Services
•    Assisting with Level 3 suite set-up
•    Assisting Guest Services personnel as necessary, including directing fans to program sales, 50/50, concessions, etc.

Fan Services volunteers are required to start two hours before kickoff (five hour shift/game).

Production Runner

The production runner is a member of the BC Lions game presentation team.

The duties of the production runner may include:

•    Running items between operators/media/stats crew
•    Assisting manager, game & event presentation and production crew as necessary
•    Anticipating production booth needs and facilitating solutions
The production runner is required to start three hours before kickoff (six hour shift/game).  

Due to the requirements of this position, a small honorarium is provided.  To volunteer for this position, you must be available for all BC Lions home games during the 2014 season, including potential playoff games.

On-Field Promotions

On-field promotions volunteers fulfill all in-game sponsor activation requirements.  

The duties of on-field promotions volunteers may include:

•    Setting up/tearing down all props and signage
•    Pulling contestants from the crowd for on-field promotions and ensuring they have a positive experience
•    Filling out paperwork, including waivers and prize redemption forms
•    Executing all on-field sponsor activations
•    Assisting with BC Lions game activities as necessary

On-field promotions volunteers are required to start four and a half hours before kickoff (eight hour shift/game).  

Due to the requirements of this position, a small honorarium is provided.  To volunteer for this position, you must be available for all BC Lions home games during the 2014 season, including potential playoff games.

Game Operations

Game operations volunteers assist with the operation and logistics of BC Lions in-stadium activities, signage and ceremonies.

The duties of game operations volunteers may include:

•    Setting up and taking down BC Lions in-stadium branding
•    Meeting the anthem singer, facilitating anthem rehearsal, and escorting the anthem singer on and off the field pre-game
•    Meeting halftime talent, facilitating halftime rehearsal and game-time execution (including prop/staging movement), and escorting halftime talent on and off the field

Game operations volunteers are required to start four hours before kickoff (eight hour shift/game).  

Due to the requirements of this position, a small honorarium is provided.  To volunteer for this position, you must be available for all BC Lions home games during the 2014 season, including potential playoff games.

Volunteer Services

Volunteer services coordinates the needs of all BC Lions volunteer groups.  

The duties of volunteer services volunteers may include:

•    Setting up the volunteer services room
•    Overseeing volunteer check-in
•    Checking bags in/out for volunteers
•    Managing radio and headset inventory, sign-out/in, and battery charging
•    Overseeing volunteer post-game meals
•    Collecting volunteer materials at the end of the game and packing up the volunteer services room

Volunteer services members are required to start three hours before kickoff (seven hour shift/game).  

Due to the requirements of this position, a small honorarium is provided.  To volunteer for this position, you must be available for all BC Lions home games during the 2014 season, including potential playoff games.
