Highlights:Husband
2016: A significant step forward for the BC native as Cody moved seamlessly into the centre spot in 2016 and started all 18 regular season games and both playoff tilts for the first time in his career. Quarterbacking the offensive line with the skill of a seasoned veteran, Cody was a vital piece of the team’s front five helping Jonathon Jennings throw for more than 5,000 yards while effectively opening up running lanes to the tune of more than 2,000 yards along the ground.

2015: After spending 10 weeks on the club’s injured roster or as a reserve, Cody started at guard for the Lions during the final eight regular season games and Western Semi-Final.

BC Lions vs Ed Eskimoes2014: Cody was a roster exemption in training camp as he continued to rehab a knee injury suffered the previous season. After eight games on the injured list, he made his Lions debut versus Saskatchewan on Aug 24/14. He dressed for a total of four games with one start at guard before being placed back on the injured list for the final six games of the year.

2011-2013: Cody signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as a undrafted free agent in March 2010 but opted to return to UBC that year for his remaning season of eligibility. He joined the Ticats in 2011 but spent a year on the injued list. He returned to action for the 2012 regular season and dressed for all 18 regular-season games. Cody made two appearances in 2013 and spent 12 weeks on the Ticats’ injured list. He was released by Hamilton in May.

College:
Cody enjoyed a notable career with the UBC Thunderbirds from 2007 to 2011.

Personal:
Cody began playing football in grade ten with the New Westminster Hyacks and was part of the original group of players who had the opportunity to play with the team after the program’s revival after almost 30 years without football at the school. After high school, Cody attended UBC from 2006-2010, where he completed his degree in Psychology. When he isn’t playing football, Cody enjoys relaxing and spending time at home or fixing things. An interesting fact about Cody is that he used to own his own sporting goods store.
