Quinn was signed as a free agent by the Lions in June 2016. After a short stint on the club’s practice roster he was released and later re-signed by the Lions in February 2017.
2016: Quinn was selected by the Calgary Stampeders in the eighth round of the 2016 CFL Draft (68th overall). He attended the Stamps’ training camp and was waived by the club in late June before joining the Lions practice roster. The Lions released Quinn a few weeks later, but re-signed him in January 2017.
2012-2015: During Quinn’s collegiate career at SFU he played in 40 games recording 57 solo tackles, 11 tackles for a loss and three sacks. Quinn also had two forced fumbles and one blocked kick. In his junior year, Quinn was named first-team Great Northwest Athletic Conference after registering 38 total tackles, 2.5 sacks and one fumble recovery in 11 games.
Quinn resides in his hometown of Winnipeg and was a Criminology major at Simon Fraser. He’s been playing football since the age of eight and among his biggest football memories was a victory over the United States in the 2012 IFAF U-19 Championship. Away from the field, you’ll find Quinn at the bowling alley or listening to Mumford & Sons.
