Prior to signing with Miami, Tyler spent two years playing professional football in Germany. Seeing action on both sides of the ball, he earned league MVP honours in 2015 after tallying 94 receptions for 1,733 yards and 24 touchdowns along with six interceptions as a defensive back. During his first season in 2014, he recorded 28 receptions for 686 yards and another six picks on defence.
2010-2013: Tyler was a skilled defensive back during his time at Missouri Valley College (NAIA) collecting 138 tackles, 19 interceptions and 21 knockdowns. He also contributed on special teams with 991 career punt return yards along with 1,177 kickoff return yards and four touchdown returns. In addition to his work on the gridiron, Tyler was an All-American long-jumper for the school’s indoor track and field team during the 2011-2012 season.
Tyler makes his off-season home in St. Louis where he divides his time as a personal trainer and math teacher. Shockingly nicknamed TD, the Exercise Science major also ran track during his time at Missouri Valley. He’s been playing football since the age of seven and is the son of legendary Oakland Raiders running back Clarence Davis. When he’s not on the field, you’ll find Tyler on the basketball court or at the bowling alley. He notes living and playing football in Europe as one of his most memorable life experiences.
