Lions sign Jonathan Brown; add Bullock

The BC Lions Football Club announced today that import defensive lineman Jonathan Brown has agreed to terms on a contract as has import linebacker Chase Bullock.

Brown was a free agent heading into the 2010 campaign after six notable seasons with the Toronto Argonauts. Originally joining the Boatmen in 2004, the Tennessee grad earned four East Division All-Star nods from 2005 to 2008 as well as CFL All-Star status in 2005 and 2007. In 97 career games, the Oklahoma native has a total of 51 sacks to go with 16 tackles for loss and eight fumble recoveries.

Bullock signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2009 after wrapping up a four-year career at Maryland in 2008. After being released by the Cardinals, he spent time with the UFL’s New York Sentinels last year. The Durham, North Carolina resident appeared in 28 games at Maryland from 2005 to 2008 and notched 27 career tackles.
