TORONTO — Last year around this time St. F-X prospect Henoc Muamba was tuned into the CFL Canadian Draft watching older brother Cauchy be selected by the BC Lions in the fifth round with the 34th overall pick.

This year it’s Henoc’s turn.  And younger brother will likely one up older brother as Henoc is projected as an early first rounder. But it’s not about competition says Henoc .

“Cauchy has been there all my life – he’s been encouraging me from the moment I was born,” Muamba said.

The younger Muamba’s draft stock soared following an outstanding showing at E-Camp. At E-Camp Muamba turned heads by leading the linebackers in every single testing category and impressing in the one-on-ones.

His CIS resume isn’t too shabby either. Last season Muamba won the 2010 President’s Trophy as the top defensive player in the country, and was named a CIS first team All-Canadian after leading the AUS with 47 tackles, including 11 tackles for a loss and 3.5 sacks.

Muamba will enter the draft as the third ranked prospect on the CFL Amateur Scouting Bureau’s list behind only offensive lineman Scott Mitchell and receiver Anthony Parker.
