The BC Lions Football Club announced today that quarterback Chris Hart has signed with the team

Hart was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Seattle Seahawks in May 2012 and also spent time with the AFL’s Tampa Bay Storm.

“Chris really impressed us at our free agent camp in Florida a couple weeks ago and we expect him to come in and compete for a spot on our team,” said VP football operations and GM Wally Buono. “He’s got a very strong, accurate arm and some physical attributes that are well-suited to our game.”

Hart had a unique college playing experience attending four different schools over four years including Valdosta State, Georgia Military College and Towson University, before settling in at Webber International (NAIA). As a senior in 2011, he completed 85 of 149 passes for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns.

The club also announced that quarterback Rudy Carpenter has been released.
