Lions send Haidara to Tiger-Cats for Draft selection

BCLions.Com Staff

The BC Lions Football Club announced this afternoon that they have traded Canadian receiver S.J. Haidara to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in exchange for Hamilton’s fifth round selection (43rd overall) in next week’s CFL Draft. The Lions will also receive rights to a player on Hamilton’s negotiation list.

“With the depth we have at the receiver position and Hamilton’s desire to acquire S.J., this trade enables us to add a valuable selection to our list of picks heading into the CFL Draft,” said VP of football operations and GM Wally Buono.

The Lions now have eight selections in the 2015 CFL Draft including the fifth overall pick along with the 14th, 23rd, 32nd, 41st, 43rd, 49th and 58th choices.

BC Lions Training Camp presented by Sun Peaks Resort begins on Sunday, May 31 in Kamloops, BC. Click HERE for the full schedule.
