Lulay and Moore Connect Again For CFL Top Performer Nods

Leading the BC Lions to a convincing 41-26 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats has earned quarterback Travis Lulay and receiver Nick Moore Top Performer honours as announced by the CFL this morning.

Following an injury to starting quarterback Jonathon Jennings on the Lions’ first offensive play on Saturday, veteran pivot Lulay dialed-up a record-setting performance with 436 passing yards and three majors along with another TD on a one-yard plunge. Not only was it Lulay’s best showing as a pro, it also shattered a 30 year-old CFL record for quarterbacks appearing in relief of the starter (Mike Kerrigan, 408 in 1987).

Lulay’s primary target on the night was Moore who battled through a season-ending knee injury almost a year to the day of his incredible showing to establish a new career-high of 11 receptions for 220 yards and a touchdown.

The win in Hamilton made it three-straight for the club as they now return home to BC Place and a Friday night tilt against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers presented by Nissan.

Single game tickets for all Lions home games are on sale now. Kids 12 and under can get tickets for all summer games for just $5 all-in.
