Term Length:

JAN.06 – MAY.09, 2025 (Full time 9AM – 5PM). An option to be extended after the initial term of the contract

Job Description:

The Community Associate position includes but is not limited to:

• Assisting the Community Partnerships Team with scheduling schools for school program visits as well as facilitating school program presentations both locally in the Lower Mainland as well as in other communities across the province.
• Managing travel plans, which includes: booking transportation, booking accommodations, booking restaurants, arranging for gym or work out facilities
• Managing trip budgets
• Travelling with Players around the province on school based road trips (3-5 days in duration)
• Creating and updating sponsorship fulfillment reports
• Assisting with Community Outreach

Skills/Qualifications Required:

• University student having completed or working towards the completion of their degree
• Available to work remotely and willing to work out of town for up to 4 days a week.
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Strong interpersonal skills
• A willingness to represent the BC Lions brand in the community
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds.
• A positive attitude in executing hands-on events

Preferred Skills:

• Class 5 drivers’ license
• Willingness to lift equipment necessary.

Special Requirements:

• Flexibility to work irregular hours (evenings and weekends)
• Access to a vehicle is strong asset

Compensation:

Approximately $3,000/month
