GETTING TO KNOW CAITLIN…

Career Goals? Corporate or Criminal Lawyer

Words to live by? “You must be willing to do the things today others won’t do, in order to have the things tomorrow others won’t have” “Strength is what we gain from the struggles that we conquer” – actually have this tattooed on my arm
What is your biggest fear? My biggest fear I would say would be uncertainty. I have experienced a lot of twists and turns in my life, a lot of those unexpected. Because of this I have grown more comfortable with it and learned to live around it, however my biggest fear still remains the unknown.
What has been your greatest accomplishment to date? My greatest accomplishment to date has been raising between my family members over $15,000 for cancer research.
Who is your hero? My heroes are my parents. Although I recently lost my father to cancer, both my mom and dad inspire me daily to push through challenges in order to achieve success. I owe a large portion of who I am and what I have today to the both of them.
What do you like to do for fun? In my spare time, I also love to still dance. Whether it is taking drop in classes at Harbour, or dancing at my home studio, I love spending my spare time dancing. When I am not dancing, I spend my time working at Cactus Club and lifeguarding. And when I am not working well I love taking photos, finding new, cute and trendy places to eat, shopping, exploring and being out on the water.
Dream Vacation Destination? Dubai, UAE or Bora Bora, Tahiti
One thing people would be surprised to know about me is…. Growing up I always wanted to play Lacrosse along with dance. However, I was told those 2 sports did not really go hand in hand and I decided to stick to dancing.
Do you ever see yourself owning your own business? Yes, one day I would love to own my own business. I am not confident yet on what it would be, but I would definitely love to be able to oversee and be the owner of a business in the future.
Most embarrassing moment? When I was 9 years old, I fell off of a rope swing and landed face down on a bed of rocks at my cabin. I knocked myself unconscious, dislocated my nose and had 2 shiners on both of my eyes for almost 2 months.
What is your Karaoke go-to song? The Logical Song – Supertramp
Dream job? Nascar or Formula 1 race car driver.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received? The best advice I have ever received was to never lose sight of who you are and what you to want to accomplish in this world. Be the change that you want to see in the world. Never change the core of who you are for others and wake up daily with a new goal and a way you will accomplish it.
Advice for someone who dreams of becoming a Felion? My best advice for someone who dreams of becoming a Felion is confidence. I remember when I first auditioned for the team I was incredibly nervous. However, what got me through the audition was smiling and confidence. Dance ability is a large portion of being a member of the Felions Dance Team, but personality is almost just as important. As a Felion, we interact with thousands of fans and are immersed in the community representing the BC Lions Football Club. My biggest piece of advice is to be yourself and bring your A-Game!
