Next Level Football Academy

Who: Football Players from ages 12-18 in British Columbia of all positions and skill levels.

What: Football Camp for all positions led by 8 CFL players showcasing the importance of the Canadian game with a true professional practice environment implementing film study and football IQ along with technical skills and improving physical ability.

Why: Our founders Riley Pickett & Josh Hagerty of the BC Lions want to showcase how to make the CFL for young athletes of all positions and grow the game of football in BC.

Where: Centennial Secondary School, 570 Poirier St. Coquitlam, BC

When: April 11-12th; 2026; 9am-4pm

  • O vs D team time & scrimmage
  • Indy’s for all positions with a coach
  • Core 4 special teams work in all phases of the game
  • Safe open-field tackling, blocking, rushing, hand & feet drills, body control
  • Personalized position training, competitive 1-on-1s, full-team compete periods, Thunderdome
  • Individual position skill development period for all positions
  • Film study: CFL cutups from both game and practice of professional teach tape examples
    • Teaching all athletes how to watch film, prepare for an opponent, how to self critique, and how to continue incremental growth
    • Specialists (snappers/kickers) will have their own personal film review sessions from previous field session
  • Safe Supplement Seminar
    • Will be hosted by Supplement World
    • Informed choice products and safe supplement use
    • Benefits for on field performance and off season training
  • Active Recovery session
    • Will be guided by a certified Yoga instructor
    • Displaying importance of mobility, end range joint strength, and flexibility
    • Injury prevention and hurdling over plateaus athletes may face
  • Lunch: 1 hour, will be provided to the athletes
  • Total academy hours: 9am–12pm; 12pm–1pm lunch; 1pm–4pm
  • Jerseys and t-shirts will be provided
  • Athletes must provide their own helmet & shoulder pads, athletic wear, water bottle, cleats, and any other gear desired.
  • Cost: $300 per athlete.
