Kelvin was signed by the Lions as a free agent on July 25, 2016. He was quickly scooped up by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and attended training camp with the club before being released in September. He re-signed with the Lions on September 16.
2016: After originally joining the club in July and brief departure to join Tampa Bay for training camp, Kelvin made his Lions debut in Winnipeg on October 8. 2014-2015: Kelvin was an undrafted free agent signing of the Arizona Cardinals in May 2014. After attending training camp with the club, he earned a practice roster role before being waived by the Cardinals in May 2015. He made two other NFL stops in Kansas City and Pittsburgh before joining BC in July 2016.
2010-2013: Kelvin dressed for 42 games over four years at Baylor after making the switch from defensive line to offensive tackle early in his career. As a senior in 2013, he started all 13 games for the Bears, one of just five players to do so that year. Anchoring the offensive line from his tackle position, Baylor led the nation in offense in 2014 with an astounding 618.8 yards per game.
Kelvin was a General Studies major at Baylor University. He lists winning the 2013 Big 12 title with the Bears during his senior season and being signed as an undrafted free agent in the NFL by the Arizona Cardinals as his proudest football achievements. A hip-hop junkie, Kelvin loves to listen to Lil Wayne and Future. He unwinds after a long day by watching comedy movies and thrillers. When he isn’t dominating defensive linemen in the trenches, you will find Kelvin lapping his friends in Mario Cart. He lists his mom and girlfriend as his biggest fans. Kelvin spends his offseason in his hometown of Dallas, TX.
