De’Anthony was signed as a free agent by the Lions in January 2022.
2020: Thomas opted out of 2020 due to COVID-19 and was released by Baltimore in early January 2021.
2019: Suited up in six games with the Chiefs, playing a primary role on special teams with seven kick returns for 155 yards and 13 punt returns for 55 yards. Released by Kansas City in October before signing with the Baltimore Ravens on November 8th. In eight games with Baltimore, Thomas returned ten kickoffs for 166 yards and 13 punts for 93 yards. Returned three kickoffs for 71 yards in AFC Divisional Round loss to Tennessee.
2018: Limited to just five games in his 5th NFL season due to a leg injury. Caught a touchdown pass in a week two victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
2017: Suited up in all 16 games for the first time in his career and caught 14 passes for 143 yards and two touchdowns. De’Anthony also recorded a pair of special teams tackles.
2016: With the emergence of Tyreek Hill, Thomas’ special teams production slipped but still managed to register 338 yards on 41 kickoff returns. Also caught seven passes for 35 yards.
2015: Caught 17 passes for 140 yards and a touchdown and added one rushing major while recording 34 yards on nine carries. Continued to play a role on special teams with 29 punt returns for 227 yards and six kickoff returns for 138 yards.
2014: Selected in round four (124th overall) by Kansas City in the 2014 NFL Draft. Suited up in 13 games in his rookie campaign while returning 34 punts for 405 yards and a touchdown and added 428 yards on 14 kickoff returns. Rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown on four carries.
2011-13: One of the most highly-recruited high school players out of the state of California, Thomas opted for the University of Oregon where he suited up in 28 games over three seasons. Along with returning 52 punts for 1,372 yards and three touchdowns, Thomas racked up 1,052 yards and 13 touchdowns on 92 total receptions and carried the ball 165 times for 1,424 yards and 20 majors.
Named the 2011 Pac-12 Co-Offensive Freshman of the Year and earned All-Pac-12 First-Team honours that same season. Scored two touchdowns and had 312 all-purpose yards in 45-38 Rose Bowl win over Wisconsin in January 2012. One year later, Thomas returned the opening kickoff 94 yards to the house as Oregon took down Kansas State in Fiesta Bowl. He was teamamtes with Lions’ linebacker Bo Lokombo with the Ducks.
Thomas also competed in track at Oregon, finishing 2nd in the 4 x 100 meters and 5th in the individual 200 meters at the 2012 Pac-12 Championships.
