Dejon came to the Lions in a trade with the Toronto Argonauts for linebacker Ryder Varga and a 2026 second-round pick on January 6, 2025.
Highlights:
2024: It was another All-CFL and East Division All-CFL campaign for the big tackle as he started on the right side for 17 regular season games and helped the Boatmen capture a second Grey Cup championship in three seasons. Allen and the Argonauts’ offensive line helped pave the way for 156 rushing yards and 470 yards of net offence in the Eastern Final win at Montreal. In the 111th Grey Cup win over the Blue Bombers, Toronto controlled the time of possession battle at 36:18.
2023: Dejon enjoyed his finest CFL season in year three, winning the league’s Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman Award after allowing a CFL-low 11 quarterback pressures on 499 pass-blocking snaps. Started 16 regular season games plus the Eastern Final against Montreal and both earned All-CFL and East Division All-CFL honours for a second straight year.
2022: Moved to right tackle for his second CFL season and earned East Division All-Star accolades for the first time. Dejon and the Argonauts ended the season as Grey Cup champions as they upset the Winninpeg Blue Bombers 24-23 in the 109th championship game.
2021: Dejon’s first season with Toronto saw 13 regular season starts at left tackle as well as a start in the Eastern Final against Hamilton.
2018-20: Signed with the Chicago Bears as a non-drafted free agent in May 2018 and was waived the following year before a training camp stop in Green Bay. He then spent 2020 in the XFL with both the St. Louis BattleHawks and New York Guardians.
