Demetrius was originally signed as a free agent by the Lions in May 2024 and returned to the team in April 2025.

Highlights:

2024: Demitrius moved north to the BC Lions in late May and suited up in the team’s final pre-season contest against Edmonton before being released as part of the team’s final roster cutdowns. He attended training camp with the UFL Birmingham Stallions and was released in March 2025.

2022-23: Signed with the Detroit Lions as a non-drafted free agent in 2022. After making the 53-man roster out of training camp, Demetrius was waived in October and re-signed to the practice squad. He would then sign a reserve/futures deal with the Lions in January 2023.

College:

2017-21: Demetrius suited up in 65 games at Appalachian State and would earn first team All- Sun Belt honours in each of his final three seasons. With the Mountaineers, the big defensive lineman recorded 137 total tackles, 46 tackles for a loss, 26.5 sacks, ten knockdowns and a pair of fumble recoveries.
