Dyshawn was signed as a free agent by the Lions on February 19, 2020.
2019: Dyshawn signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in February and would go on to record nine special teams tackles and six defensive stops in 18 games.
2018: Dyshawn enjoyed a breakout season, appearing in 17 regular season games and showing his prowess on special teams with 22 tackles and a forced fumble. He added 13 tackles on defence and would make his playoff debut in the 2018 Eastern Semi-Final in Hamilton.
2017: appeared in four regular season games and recorded seven special teams tackles plus six more tackles on defence.
2016: Dyshawn was one of the more impressive rookies in training camp and made the week one roster before spending the rest of 2016 on the practice squad.
2015: signed with the Washington Redskins as a non-drafted free agent and suited up in three pre-season games.
2011-14: Dyshawn enjoyed a very productive four years at Syracuse, finishing with 157 solo tackles. He enjoyed great success as a senior with 37.5 of his 53 defensive tackles going for a loss.
Dyshawn earned his Bachelor of Science and majored in Child and Family Studies at Syracuse. He enjoys hip-hop music and lists his Uncle Albert as his biggest fan. Dyshawn also loves giving back to the community and took part in the Lions offseason school programs during his first stint with the club.
