Gregory “Buddy” Howell Jr. signed with the Lions as a free agent in January 2023.

Highlights:

2021: Howell signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Rams and rushed for 11 yards on five carries in ten games before being placed on season-ending injured reserve. He would win a Super Bowl ring when the Rams took down Cincinnati in February 2022.

2018-20: Attended training camp with the Miami Dolphins before being released following pre-season. He would go on to suit up in 45 games over three seasons with the Houston Texans and ran it 21 times for 74 yards.

College:

2015-17: Buddy attended Florida Atlantic for three seasons and put up some impressive numbers including 422 carries for 2,166 yards and 21 touchdowns in 36 games. Also added ten receptions for 86 yards.
