Hayden was selected in round two (eleventh overall) by the Lions in the 2025 CFL Draft. He signed with the team on September 30.
Highlights:
2025: Harris signed with the Buffalo Bills as a non-drafted free agent and was with the team in training camp until July 31. He later worked out with the Chicago Bears before inking his deal with the Lions in late September. After joining the Lions on September 30, he played in the final three regular season games and both Grey Cup Playoff contests.
College:
2023-24: In 29 games with the Montana Grizzlies, Harris racked up 84 total tackles (41 solo, 43 assisted), 21.5 tackles for a loss, four pass knockdowns, three forced fumbles, a pair of fumble recoveries and one defensive touchdown. Harris also earned second-team All-Big Sky Honours and was the Grizzlies’ Defensive MVP and winner of the Sims-Miller Award as outstanding defensive lineman in his senior season.
2019-22: Harris attended UCLA, appearing in three games as a reserve defensive lineman.
Personal:
Harris grew up in Mill Creek, Wash., but holds national status in Canada through his mother, who was born in Vancouver, B.C. and raised in Regina, Sask.
Harris earned a spot on the UCLA Athletic Director’s Honour Roll for Spring 2020 and Winter 2021.
