Acquired:

Hergy was signed as a free agent by the Lions on August 11, 2025. After ending the season on the practice roster, Hergy returned to the Lions with a one-year deal on January 30.

Highlights:

2025: Began 2025 with the Toronto Argonauts and hauled in three receptions for 40 yards in a week nine home loss to Winnipeg.

2024: Hergy signed with the Edmonton Elks and appeared in 12 games while hauling in 41 receptions for 503 yards and five touchdowns.

2022-23: Signed with his hometown Montreal Alouettes as a free agent and dressed in 20 regular season contests over two seasons. Hergy recorded 40 receptions for 527 yards and two majors before winning a Grey Cup ring in his second season with the Als.

2019-21: Hergy was selected in round one (eighth overall) by Calgary in the 2019 CFL Draft. His rookie campaign remains his most productive with  38 receptions for 562 yards and five touchdown strikes. He appeared in 13 games in 2021 and caught 29 passes for 284 yards.

College:

2015-18: Hergy attended UCONN for four seasons, playing in 43 games and recording 113 receptions for 1,352 yards and 12 touchdowns. Led the Huskies in catches in both his junior and senior seasons.
