Acquired:

Jalon originally signed as a free agent with the Lions ahead of 2021 training camp. After moving on to Saskatchewan in 2024 free agency where he was among the final training camp cuts, Jalon returned to his original team in September of 2024. Jalon remained with the team on a one-year extension on February 5, 2025.

Highlights:

2024: After signing in Saskatchewan and attending training camp with the Roughriders, Jalon returned to the Lions as a free agent in September and would record 12 defensive tackles in four regular season contests. He then recorded three defensive stops and two pass breakups in his playoff debut in the Western Semi-Final at Regina.

2023: Edwards-Cooper saw action in 14 regular-season games before his season came to an early end due to a shoulder injury. He registered 36 defensive tackles, one interception and one forced fumble and also recorded his first career touchdown on a blocked punt return in a win against Montreal on July 9.

2022: Saw action in seven games in his second Lions campaign and recorded 14 defensive tackles. Recorded a season-high four defensive stops in loss to Calgary on September 25.

2021: Edwards-Cooper emerged with a roster spot following his first CFL training camp before appearing in nine games and racking up 29 defensive tackles plus a pair of interceptions.

College:

2016-19: Jalon suited up in 46 games with the Texas A&M-Commerce Lions and racked up 139 combined tackles (97 solo, 42 assisted), 16.5 tackles for a loss, 32 pass breakups, six interceptions, five sacks and four forced fumbles. He helped the program win the NCAA Division II national championship in his sophomore campaign.
