Acquired:
Signed by the Lions as a free agent in July of 2017.

 

Highlights:
2017: Louie joined the Lions midway through the 2017 season and he provided an immediate boost to the club’s special teams unit. He recorded three special teams tackles through 13 games with his hometown team.

 

2016: Richardson was re-signed by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on January 25. He played in one preseason game with Winnipeg, registering three defensive tackles. However, the Bombers released Richardson on June 27. Louie was signed as a free agent by the Tiger-Cats on September 13 and played in six regular season games for the club. Richardson recorded five special teams tackles during the season for the Ti-Cats and played in the Eastern Semi-Final on November 13 vs. Edmonton.

 

2015: Richardson played in five games with the Blue Bombers, tallying three defensive tackles and four special teams tackles.

 

2014: Louie was signed as a free agent by the Blue Bombers on April 7. He played a career-high 16 games for Winnipeg, recording six defensive tackles, nine special teams tackles and two quarterback sacks.

 

2013: Richardson played in seven games for the Tiger-Cats in his sophomore season, posting seven special teams tackles and one fumble recovery for three yards.

 

2012: Louie was signed as a free agent by the Tiger-Cats on May 24. He played in two games with Hamilton as a rookie, collecting three special teams tackles. Richardson made his CFL debut on June 29 vs. Saskatchewan.

 

College:
2008-2011: Louie appeared in 20 career games across four seasons for the University of Manitoba Bisons. He registered 55.5 tackles, two tackles for a loss, one quarterback sack, two forced fumbles and one blocked kick during his collegiate career.

 

Personal:
Louie was on his way to completing his degree in Aboriginal Studies at the University of Manitoba before being signed as a free agent by the Tiger-Cats. His most memorable moment on the football field was his first CFL game when Hamilton was taking on the Blue Bombers in Winnipeg. Known as Junior by his teammates, Louie is a lover of old school rap and cites Tupac as his favourite musician.
