Marquez (pronounced Mar-qwez) was signed as a free agent by the Lions in January 2026.

Highlights:

2025: After being waived by the Bucs in April, Marquez attended training camp in San Francisco and New Orleans.

2024: Marquez signed a futures deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers in January. After being waived on July 30, he landed in Saints training camp once again before being released on August 11. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed him on October 16, and he made two appearances with the team.

2020-23: Signed with the New Orleans Saints as a non-drafted free agent in 2020, appearing in 11 games as a rookie with 21 receptions for 213 yards. Marquez enjoyed a breakout 2021 campaign, hauling in 46 receptions for 698 yards and six touchdowns in 17 contests. He would appear in 14 more games in 2022 before beginning the 2023 campaign with training camp stints in Denver and Las Vegas. Marquez returned to the Saints in November 2023 and dressed in three games before the end of that season.

College:

2016-19: Marquez suited up in 22 games at Tennessee, hauling in 92 receptions for 1,646 yards and 13 touchdowns. His receiving yard total is the 16th-best in school history. The playmaker added 40 punt returns for 543 yards and three majors, with his 13.6 average yards per return ranking as the fourth best in school history. Marquez earned PFF College All-SEC team as a returner in 2018 and was a PFF College All-Second-Team honourable mention in 2019.
