Maurice was signed as a free agent by the Lions in February 2021.
Highlights:
2020: Maurice signed a reserve/futures contract with the New Orleans Saints in January and was released on August 2nd.
2019: Signed with the New England Patriots in March before being reverted to injured reserve and released with an injury settlement in August.
2016-18: Maurice joined the Washington Football Team as a non-drafted free agent in May 2016 and was promoted to the active roster in October of that year. He would go on to suit up in 28 games over the next three seasons and recorded 40 catches for 432 yards and a touchdown.
College:
2012-2015: Attended the University of California-Berkley and recorded 81 receptions for 1,009 yards and ten touchdowns in 42 games. Maurice was known for some spectacular, highlight-reel catches including a one-handed touchdown grab against Portland State in 2013 that was known as ‘The Grab’ and featured as ESPN’s top play of that weekend.
Personal:
Maurice was a teammate of current Lions defensive back Kenny Ladler with Washington. He lists his one-handed touchdown catch against Minnesota in 2017 as his career highlight so far. Maurice is married to Kayla Rodgers-Harris and has four children. Kayla is the brother of Green Bay Packers tight end Richard Rodgers II.
