Maxime was signed as a free agent by the Lions in September 2022. He then inked a two-year extension ahead of the 2024 campaign.

Highlights:

2023: Max played a factor on special teams in his 12 regular season games for the Lions. He registered six special teams tackles and one defensive tackle for a loss. Max also played in the Western Division Final against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

2022: Rouyer suited up in eight regular season and two playoff contests with the Lions and would record a forced fumble in a win at Edmonton on October 21.

2021: suited up in one regular season game with the Elks, recording one special teams tackle in a loss to Winnipeg.

2019: a fourth-round selection by Edmonton in the inaugural European Draft, Rouyer suited up in 17 regular season games with the green and gold while recording three special teams tackles. Made his playoff debut in the Eastern Semi-Final at Montreal and registered one special teams tackle. He also dressed in the Eastern Final loss in Hamilton.
