Sione was signed by the Lions in February 2022.

 

Highlights:

 

2024: Sione put together another productive campaign in year three, dressing in all 18 regular season games for the first time in his career and recording a team-leading seven sacks to go with 38 defensive tackles and five tackles for a loss. He recorded a pair of defensive tackles in the Western Semi-Final at Saskatchewan.

 

2023: Sione enjoyed another standout season in the CFL. He finished third on the Lions with seven sacks, behind teammates Mathieu Betts and Woody Baron. In 17 regular season games, Sione made 37 defensive tackles, three tackles for loss, and two fumble recoveries against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in Week 18. Sione continued to be all over  Zach Collaros’ face during the Western Final by taking him down for a sack of 11-yard loss.

 

2022: Sione played a huge role in his first CFL campaign, finishing second to David Menard for the team lead with eight sacks and recorded 27 total tackles (23 defence, four special teams) in the regular season. Went on to record six defensive tackles in two playoff games.

 

2021: Sione played for the Frisco Fighters in the Indoor Football League. The 6’4’ defensive end registered nine total tackles and played alongside with his brother, Maea Teuhema, an offensive lineman.

 

2018-19: Sione attended NFL minicamp for the Chicago Bears and the New York Jets in 2018. Then he signed with the Arizona Hotshots of the now-defunct Alliance of American Football before attending the Carolina Panthers minicamp in 2019. He signed with the Panthers on June 11, 2019, and finished the season on the practice roster.

College:

 

2016-17: Sione transferred from LSU to Southeastern Louisiana University for the remainder of his collegiate career, where he racked up 109 tackles, 13 sacks, three forced fumbles for the Lions. He was an All-Southland Conference second-team athlete in 2016 and enjoyed his most productive season in 2017 as a senior.

2014-15: Sione played in 16 contests for the LSU Tigers. He registered 20 tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks during his freshman and sophomore years at LSU.
