Highlights:

2023: Terry emerged as one of the CFL’s best return specialists, and finished first in the league with 1315 kickoff return yards, averaging 23.1 yards on 57 attempts. Scary Terry is also third in the league with 878 punt return yards, averaging 11.9 yards on 74 attempts. In Week 15’s matchup against his former team, Ottawa REDBLACKS, Terry sparked a remarkable comeback for the Lions by returning Lewis Ward’s missed field goal attempt to the house — a 120-yard return touchdown. The Lions were down by 19 points in the fourth quarter and rallied back to beat the REDBLACKS 41-37.

2022: At the time of his trade to the Lions, Williams was the CFL’s leader with 914 kickoff return yards (25.40-yard average) while adding 306 yards on 32 punt returns. The versatile Williams also chipped in with 97 yards from scrimmage (71 receiving, 26 rushing) in nine games with the REDBLACKS. Upon his trade to the Lions, Williams made an immediate impact with 36 punt returns for 336 yards and had 612 yards on 25 kickoff returns. Suited up in both playoff contests and had a remarkable 126-yard return on a missed convert in the Western Final at Winnipeg. It was the first missed convert returned to the end zone in CFL history.

2021: Williams suited up in two games with Ottawa and recorded 169 yards on ten kickoff returns while also returning ten punts for 90 yards.

College:

2018-2019: Terry transferred to Tennessee-Martin for his final two years of eligibility. In 23 total games with the Skyhawks, the dynamic playmakers hauled in 125 receptions for 1,317 yards and six touchdowns and was also a force on special teams with 40 punt returns for 608 yards and two majors and 514 kickoff return yards on 27 attempts. He was a HERO Sports All-American First-Team selection and STATS FCS All-American Second-Team Selection in his senior season.

2017-2018: Played for two years at Itawamba Community College. As a sophomore, Williams was third in the nation with 1,075 receiving yards and would also become the program’s all-time receiving leader.
