Acquired:

Tyler was signed to the Lions’ practice squad on October 8, 2024. He then remained with the team on a contract extension in November 2024.

Highlights:

2025: Tyler appeared in the first two regular season games and registered one tackle on special teams before going down with an injury.

2023-24: Joined the USFL’s Houston Gamblers and became a free agent after the merger with the XFL. In 2024, Tyler had training camp stints with Green Bay and Cleveland.

2021-22: Signed with the Dallas Cowboys as a non-drafted free agent and emerged from training camp with a spot on the practice roster. He appeared in three games over two seasons in Dallas, racking up eight total tackles while playing a role on both defence and special teams.

College:

2020: Tyler moved on to Purdue for his senior year and recorded 13 defensive tackles in three contests.

2016-19: After sitting out his first season as a redshirt, Tyler appeared in 35 games at UConn and recorded 260 total tackles (161 solo, 99 assisted), 18 pass breakups, three interceptions, two defensive touchdowns, two forced fumbles and a pair of fumble recoveries.
