On behalf of our entire organization, I am writing to wish all of our valued season ticket members Happy Holidays and all the best as we move toward our 71st season of BC Lions football. As the page turns on 2024, it brings about a good time to reflect and begin to get excited about what’s in store for our football team.

We entered this year with sky-high expectations. While we certainly experienced some moments to be proud of, starting with an unforgettable Concert Kickoff headlined by 50 Cent that resulted in our opener being totally sold out, and starting the season 5-1.

On Labour Day weekend, we made history by playing the first CFL game in our provincial capital of Victoria. Touchdown Pacific was a huge success all made possible by the support of our great fans from around the province, and by the City of Victoria.

We capped it all off by hosting a highly-successful 111th Grey Cup Festival, a week-long celebration of our great game in downtown Vancouver. I believe we have raised the bar for the CFL.

As a team however, we didn’t achieve our ultimate goal. When I purchased the BC Lions in August 2021, a major pillar set out by me and my family was to bring more Grey Cup championships to British Columbia.

While we haven’t accomplished that quite yet, I am very excited to see the direction our President, Duane Vienneau is taking us in, and that starts with our new head coach, Buck Pierce. Buck brings a winning pedigree to the Lions and with Neil McEvoy and Ryan Rigmaiden at the helm, our football operations team is made up of a dedicated and passionate group that is already working around the clock in making our team better next year.

With Victoria-born Nathan Rourke back with us for the long-term, I’m excited to see our front office build around the young and dynamic quarterback and help make our home games once again the most entertaining product in town.

Thank you once again for your dedication and unwavering support for our team. As owner, it makes me proud to be a big part of such a cherished entity of our province’s professional sports landscape. I look forward to seeing you in 2025 –it’s going to be very exciting.

Best Regards,
