ACCESSING THE STADIUM
There are six gates for access to the stadium. Please read the entry instructions below carefully, as the structure of the facility REQUIRES YOU TO ENTER AT A SPECIFIC GATE depending on your section. There is no access to the south side of the stadium from the north side, and vice versa.
- Sections 3 through 12 (including 7B, 8B, 9A, 9B, 11A, and 11B) MUST enter through Gates 3 or 4 ONLY.
- Sections 13 through 21 MUST enter through Gates 1 or 6 ONLY.
- Coors Light Party Zone ticketholders MUST enter through Gates 1 or 2 ONLY.
- VIP ticketholders MUST enter through Gates 5 or 6 ONLY.

The Festival
In addition to the game on AUG.31 we will be hosting a two-day festival celebrating Canadian Football. The festival will run on AUG.29 & AUG.30 and will see Ship Point in the inner harbour transformed into a roaring party. Fans and tourists alike can expect live music, food, and fun from 12:00PM – 7:00PM daily. It will offer fans from across the province and the country a chance to share in the best of Victoria and the best of football in BC.
The Watch Party
Fans who missed out on tickets can still get in on the fun! We will be setting up a large screen in Central Park, just steps from the stadium where fans can enjoy the outdoor football party of the summer. Adults get in for just $25, and youth for just $12. Tickets are going fast so secure yours below!

Accessibility
Gates 3, 4, and 5 all located on Caledonia Street are fully accessible.
Accessible seating platforms are integrated into the main stadium seating. One attendant ticket is available for purchase with each ticket purchased on the accessible platform. To accommodate groups larger than two, please speak with your ticketing representative, when purchasing your tickets. They will work with you to seat your party as close as possible.
Accessible washrooms are located throughout the concourse.
Alcohol
The venue reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to any guest. All guests who appear under the age of 30 will be required to show a valid ID. Guests serving alcohol to minors will be subject to arrest. Beer will be served to a maximum of 24 oz. per person, per transaction. Any guest who attempts to conceal alcohol on entry, before being searched by Royal Athletic Park Security, will be denied entry. Guests who surrender alcohol to Security before being searched can enter. If at any time a guest is deemed to be impaired by alcohol or drugs, the guest will be evicted or denied entry and may be referred to the relevant authorities.
Animals
The BC Lions welcome fans and their service animals. Service animals may accompany guests in any areas open to the general public. All other animals are prohibited.
ATMs
The venue is a cash-free environment, there will be no ATMs available at Royal Athletic Park.
Bag Policy
The BC Lions strongly encourages guests not to bring bags of any type, however, the following bags are permitted into the facility:
- Bag no larger than 12” x 12” x 6″
Exceptions may be provided for diaper bags and medically necessary items that cannot fit into a bag. All bags are subject to search. Bag check service is available at the Tennis Courts at Central Park. Please note, that bag storage is at the sole risk of the depositor. By accepting the bag check, the depositor releases the company and their employees from all liability for loss or damage.
Bike Valet
Safe and secure bicycle parking will be at the Central Park tennis courts. Bike valet service is available from gate opening time to a half hour after the final whistle.
Camera Policy
Personal photography is permitted in the stadium, provided the images are for personal use only. Cameras must be smaller than 6 inches (150mm) in length with a lens attached. Selfie sticks are not permitted. Camera bags are permitted inside Royal Athletic Park provided they measure less than 12”x 12”x 6”
Children
Children aged two and under will be admitted free as long as the child is sitting on an adult’s lap. If a parent requests a physical seat for the child, he/she must purchase a ticket.
Concessions
A wide variety of refreshments are available from concession booths, kiosks, and vendors throughout the stadium. Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside Royal Athletic Park. All stands will be accepting payment by card only, no cash is accepted.
Costumes
Costumes (including items that may be deemed potentially hazardous to other guests) may be subject to enhanced inspection upon entry.
Electronic Devices
Laptops are prohibited. For ease of access, guests are encouraged not to bring large electronic devices such as tablets to the stadium. Tablets and tablet cases measuring less than 12”x12”x6” are permitted, however, all tablet devices and their cases are subject to inspection prior to entry. Electronic devices may be required to be turned on to demonstrate the device is not compromised, however no personal information or data will be accessed. Laptop Bags, Tablet Cases, Briefcases, or Messenger Bags measuring larger than 12’’x12’’x6’’ are not permitted.
Emergency Evacuation
In the unlikely event of an emergency that would require a stadium evacuation, please remain calm and follow instructions as they are given.
Entering The Playing Field
Entering the playing field without proper authorization is a violation of league and BC Lions Football Club rules. Violators will be subject to eviction and arrest.
Exit And Entry Policy
To help ensure the safety and security of everyone at Royal Athletic Park, guests entering the venue will be required to participate in a screening procedure which includes the use of a walkthrough metal detector. Failure to participate in a screening will result in denial of entry.
Guests are asked to observe the following tips before arrival:
- Please have your ticket ready to scan upon entry. Ensure electronic tickets are downloaded to your mobile device and available to scan before entry.
- Minimize the number of personal items in your possession.
- Leave bags at home if possible. Bags larger than 12’’x 12’’x 6” are not permitted. Permitted bags will be subject to search upon entry.
- Allow extra time for entry to the venue.
- At entry, remove metal objects from pockets and hold them in your hands for inspection. If the metal detector alarm sounds, guests will be required to participate in a secondary screening before entering the venue.
Fan Code Of Conduct
The BC Lions are committed to providing a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone at the venue. We invite you to help us make this event an experience that is welcoming and respectful for all guests, as well as those working during events, regardless of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, ability, physical appearance, body size, national origin, ethnicity, or religion.
Any guest not respecting the Code of Conduct may be removed from the venue and may be subject to arrest by law enforcement.
Unacceptable behaviour includes (but is not limited to):
- Harassment, including unwelcome or hostile behavior, physical contact or sexual attention
- Intimidation, including stalking or unwelcome following
- Discrimination
- Foul or abusive language, or obscene gestures
- Physical abuse, fighting or making threatening remarks or gestures
- Possession and/or use of illegal substances
- Possession of an item that can be used as a weapon causing harm to others
- Impairment related to alcohol or drug consumption
- Providing alcohol or intoxicants to a minor
- Smoking of any substance (including e-cigarettes)
- Disruption of the event, including throwing objects, or trespassing in restricted areas.

50/50
Tickets are sold from the time the doors open until the end of the 3rd quarter. Volunteers sell tickets in the stands and on the concourse. The winning number is announced in the 4th quarter, and the Prize can be claimed at Guest Services at Gate 4 post-game. Winners have 365 days to claim their prize. For all 50/50 FAQs click here.
First Aid
First Aid Stations are located in both the north and south corners of the Stadium and roving first aid attendants can be found throughout the venue. If you require assistance for any reason, including First Aid, please speak with the nearest Touchdown Pacific staff member nearest your location.
Gate Opening Times
All gates will open at 2:00 PM.
Kids Club
Kids Club will be located at the Backyard Street Party at Central Park, across the street from Royal Athletic Park.
Lost And Found
On the day of a game, lost and found items can be returned to or collected from Royal Athletic Park staff at the Guest Services booth located at Gate 4.
Lost Children And Guests
Parents looking for a lost child should report to First Aid staff at the nearest First Aid tent as soon as possible.
Merchandise
Official BC Lions merchandise is available at designated locations throughout the venue and will only be accepting debit or credit cards. Cash will NOT be accepted.
Non-Alcohol Sections
There will be no designated “Non-Alcohol” sections at this game.
Parking
There is no Parking at Royal Athletic Park, however, the City of Victoria is exploring the possibility of a Park and Ride and we will share updates on this plan closer to the event.
Prohibited Items
Prohibited Items include any items, either legal or illegal in nature, where possession is restricted from entry into Royal Athletic Park by Federal, Provincial, or Municipal Law, Regulation, or stadium Policy.
Prohibited Items are subject to change for different events – please consult the FAQ information for your event. Security measures may be increased for certain events. These measures include, but are not limited to a more thorough search of persons and property.
Guests entering the venue will either be required to surrender any prohibited items to Royal Athletic Park for disposal, check the item at the bag check (subject to availability), or store the item off the property.
Examples of Prohibited Items:
- Bags, luggage, containers or coolers larger. Bags must be made of clear plastic only and must be smaller than 12” x 12” x 6”. Guests are encouraged not to bring bags to the stadium. See ‘Bag Sizes and Bag Search’(*insert link) policy below for additional information.
- Weapons
- Fireworks
- Laser Pointers
- Illegal Drugs and Substances.
- Drones
- Laptops (tablets and tablet cases are permitted, however, they will be inspected prior to entry).
- Bottles or containers with a capacity greater than 1 litre. See Water Bottles policy below.
- Poles and Selfie Sticks
- Aerosol cans, Paints or Flammable Liquids
- Skateboards, Rollerblades or Bicycles
- Alcohol
- Outside food or beverages (exceptions may be made for medical or dietary reasons)
- Cameras larger than 6 inches (150mm) in length with lens attached (Note: camera policy may vary for specific events – consult the Guest FAQ information for your event)
- Helium balloons
- Noise makers must be used in a manner that respects the comfort and enjoyment of all guests. Air Horns of any kind are not permitted. Drums are permitted, provided they fit within the guest’s lap. Drums are subject to search upon entry.
- Costume masks (permitted only to be worn while in your assigned seat).
- Signs, flags, or displays that are offensive, racist, discriminatory, use inappropriate language or are religious, political, or commercial in nature.

Safety and Security
The safety and security of everyone at Royal Athletic Park is the venue’s top priority. All guests entering the stadium are subject to a screening which may include the use of a hand-held metal detector. Failure to participate in a screening will result in denial of entry.
Guests may not exit and re-enter the stadium using the same ticket. Guests should retain tickets to show them each time they enter their assigned seating section. Guests should sit only in their assigned seats to avoid inconveniencing other guests. Offenders may be evicted from the stadium.
Smoking of any kind – including the use of e-cigarettes is prohibited in all areas of Royal Athletic Park. Outside food and beverages are prohibited.
Smoking & Cannabis Policy
Royal Athletic Park is a non-smoking facility and there are no designated smoking areas at Royal Athletic Park. There are no in-and-out privileges once inside Royal Athletic Park except for emergency or medical purposes. Exceptions may be made for guests who show a valid Medical Document Authorizing the use of Cannabis for Medical Purposes under the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations from Health Canada.
Smoking of any kind, and the use of alternative smoking devices (electronic or vapor), is not permitted on Royal Athletic Park property, including the exterior concourses and plazas. Smoking, or the use of alternative smoking devices, on venue property will result in eviction from the event without a refund. Consumption or possession of illegal drugs is prohibited on Royal Athletic Park property. Consumption of smokeless marijuana is prohibited on Royal Athletic Park property.
For the safety of everyone at Royal Athletic Park, guests deemed to be impaired by cannabis may be denied entry or evicted.

Strollers
Stroller parking is available at the Central Park tennis courts at Bike Valet. The BC Lions are not responsible for any lost or damaged items. If a stroller parking ticket is lost, proof of identification must be provided to claim the stroller. Stroller parking is available from gate opening time to a half hour after the final whistle. If no strollers are dropped off, stroller parking will close at halftime.
Tickets
Game tickets are sold out. For any season ticket holder-related issues, please visit the Ticketmaster booth at Gate 4, 2 hours before kickoff.
Water Bottles
Empty personal water bottles (with or without lids) up to 1-litre capacity are permitted into the stadium and are subject to inspection at the gate. Glass bottles are not allowed inside the stadium. Permitted bottles can be filled with water at water-filling stations on the concourse. Bottled water can also be purchased from concessions.
