The BC Lions Football Club announced this morning that non-import receiver Ryan Thelwell and non-import linebacker Neil McKinlay have agreed to terms with the team.

Thelwell rejoins the Leos following a six-year stint from 2001 to 2006 when he appeared in 101 games for the club and was part of the 2006 Grey Cup championship squad. He signed with the Calgary Stampeders in 2007 and appeared in 58 games and collected another championship with the Red and White in 2008. Thelwell announced his retirement following the 2010 campaign. Through 159 career games he notched 441 receptions for 6,716 yards and 39 touchdowns.

McKinlay was a member of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers from 2004 to 2009 after being drafted by the club with the 33rd overall pick in the 2004 CFL Draft. The Simon Fraser grad and Langley, BC native appeared in 105 games for the Bombers and was a standout on special teams racking up 92 tackles over six seasons.
