BC Lions add international duo; release Rwabukamba

The BC Lions Football Club announced the signings of international defensive back Loucheiz Purifoy and receiver Colin Lockett this morning.

Purifoy action 2Purifoy was signed by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in May 2014 and made the club’s 53-man roster coming out of training camp. He appeared in 11 games for the Colts that season notching six tackles, a forced fumble and a pass knockdown.

Colin Lockett action 1Lockett joins the Lions after a pair of training camp stints in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals and Washington Redskins in 2014 and 2015. The California native enjoyed a productive collegiate career at San Diego State where he started 30 of his 48 appearances for the Aztecs hauling in 130 passes for 1,999 yards and 16 touchdowns.

The Lions also announced that national defensive back Chris Rwabukamba has been released.
