(Vancouver) The CFL community is mourning the loss of former CFL great Normie Kwong. Current BC Lions VP of football operations, GM and head coach Wally Buono, who worked closely with Kwong during their time with the Calgary Stampeders has issued the following statement:
“I was very saddened to hear of Normie’s passing today. He was a tremendous mentor and leader, a very proud Albertan and a great man who gave so much to so many. My sincere sympathies go out to his wife Mary and the entire Kwong family. We have lost a legend, but we are better for having had the opportunity to have him part of our CFL family.”
